Round 2, Woodenbridge vs Enniscorthy Friday pm. We won 2 matches and lost 2. All down to Cathy Kavanagh's match, sadly we lost that match on the 18th.

Played against Courtown in the first round and unfortunately lost. The team members were Sandra Watkins, Anne White, Breda Murphy, Geraldine Scaife and Catherine Cooke.
Miele Fourball Championship, Manager: Lesley Williams
Round 1, Woodenbridge vs Wicklow. Team members were Bernie Doyle and Madeleine O'Dwyer, Anne White and Paula Tanham playing in Woodenbridge with Sandra Watkins and Breda Murphy, Geraldine Scaife and Norah Ó Cuilleanáin playing in Wicklow. We had a fantastic win and headed into Round 2.
Round 2, Kilcoole vs Woodenbridge. The same team went out with Bernie and Madeleine, and Anne and Paula at home and Sandra and Breda and Geraldine and Nora in Kilcoole. The rules of the competition are the winners are based on the aggregate of holes up and after all matches finished on the 18th it was a draw. Sandra and Breda headed down the 19th in Kilcoole in near darkness and unfortunately lost to a par.
Junior Cup, Manager: Madeleine O'Dwyer
Round 1, Woodenbridge vs Blainroe - 3 matches played at home and 2 away. The away players were Anne Mernagh and Breda Murphy, with Sandra Watkins, Anne White and Mary McDonald at home. We won all 3 matches at home and 1 away
Round 2, Wexford vs Woodenbridge (in a howling gale!) There was a near rescue situation when our poor President was blown off her feet! Sadly we lost 2 matches away and 1 at home.
Intermediate Cup, Manager: Deirdre Phelan
Round 1, Woodenbridge vs St Helen's Bay - 2 matches played away and 3 at home. Woodenbridge won so on to round 2.
Round 2, Courtown vs Woodenbridge - 3 matches played away and 2 matches home. Unfortunately we lost.
Team members were Lesley Williams, Madeleine O'Dwyer, Margaret Ringwood, Catherine Arnold and Maura Crummy.
Minor Cup, Manager: Anne Mernagh
Round 1, Woodenbridge vs Wicklow - 3 matches played at home and 2 away. The weather was atrocious so well done to the team for going out and hard luck for loosing.
Team members were Elaine Tracey, Marie Hegarty, Rose O'Neill Demol, Margaret Hand and Catherine Cooke.
Challenge Cup, Manager: Liz Byrne
Round 1, Wexford vs Woodenbridge - 3 matches played away and 2 at home. Unfortunately we lost.
The team members were Paula Tanham, Marita O'Dwyer, Beanie Cronin, Christine Galbraith and Anne Deacon.
Senior Foursomes - Sandra Watkins
In this format all matches are played over 2 rounds, 1 home and 1 away. First match was against Wicklow.
First round in Wicklow and Woodenbridge won 1 but lost 2. Second round in Woodenbridge, we lost 1 match and the others were called in because the aggregate of holes meant that Wicklow had won.
Team members were Bernie Darcy and Michelle Crummy, Sandra Watkins and Ger Murphy, Bernie Doyle and Geraldine Scaife. In round 2, Mary McDonald played with Sandra Watkins.

The competition rules have matches playing over 2 rounds, 1 home and 1 away.
Round 1, Arklow vs Woodenbridge - Woodenbridge won
Round 2, Waterford Castle vs Woodenbridge - Woodenbridge won
Round 3, Wicklow vs Woodenbridge - Woodenbridge needed to win all matches to win overall and sadly we weren't able to do that.
Team members were Betty Duffy, Maura Crummy, Margaret Byrne, Ruth Dowling, Marie O'Brien, Margaret Hand, Lesley Williams, Catherine Cooke, Deirdre Healy-Byrne, Marie Hegarty, Madeleine O'Dwyer and Sandra Warde.

Round 2, St Helen's Bay vs Woodenbridge - all matches away and Woodenbridge won.
Round 3, New Ross vs Woodenbridge - again with all matches away. Unfortunately Woodenbridge lost.

Round 1, Glen of the Downs vs Woodenbridge - 3 matches played away and 2 at home.
Team members were Mary McDonald and Lady Vice Captain Mary McGrath, Anne White and Margaret Hand playing in Woodenbridge. Madeleine O'Dwyer and Ger Murphy, Geraldine Scaife and Deirdre Healy-Byrne and Anne Mernagh and Breda Flanagan playing in Glen of the Downs.
Mary McDonald sank a lovely put on the 20th hole for a win but unfortunately it wasn't enough to win overall. Thanks to our Lady Vice Captain who was called in the play at the last minute.
